Why use Google AdWords? That's easy, because it works in driving traffic to your website. And not just any traffic. It drives qualified leads to your site. You are getting people who are out looking for your service! Can you think of anyone else you'd want to get your name and website in front of?

You may have tried mass mailings (low return on investment), print advertising (BIG waste of money), the Yellow Pages (used to be good, but now is expensive and no longer the first place most people look) - and are trying to figure out where to get the best return on your ad dollars - my answer is Google AdWords.

Now Google AdWords does cost money. But for most people, they've invested several hundred (to a couple of thousand) dollars in their website, and have found that people aren't visiting it. All the search engine tuning in the world might not make it happen. Posting on free sites usually doesn't do it. Blogging helps but is time consuming. With Google you have control and can get visitors quickly. Google is the #1 search engine in the US and the world - over half of all searches are done on Google.

And wait, I forgot the best part - you do not pay Google unless the person searching clicks on your ad and visits your site. People who read the ad and decide not to visit your site don't cost you a penny. That's another great difference between traditional advertising and print or mailings - people not interested in your ad don't cost you a penny.

When I consulted with Peter Hannah for the first time in May, I had been in private practice for six months. I had built my practice to between 6 to 9 clients a week.
