Hi, I'm Peter Hannah MA LMHC - known in therapy circles as "Your Google Guy". My services are devoted to one thing - helping you grow your private practice (as a counselor, therapist, psychologist, and the like) through web marketing.
I bring together 3 distinct fields to help you: first, I'm a therapist, too. I understand our work and our world. Second, before I became a therapist, I was in high-tech for over a decade - I understand technology. Finally, I am passionate about marketing - knowing how to communicate about our services to potential clients. This third skill is something I find many IT folks and therapists to be lacking in.
Using this mix of skills, I help my fellow therapists in three distinct ways:
- Search Engine Optimization services helping your visibility grow on Google (and across the web) in the "organic" section of the search results.
- I create custom Google Adwords Pay-Per-Click campaigns as well as doing hourly Adwords consulting. This is where I earned my nickname, and still to me is the most potent tool in my website marketing arsenal.
- I consult with people on the effectiveness of their websites, because the website is what leads people to call or email you, and hopefully become a client.
I've tried to put as much information as possible here, so you can learn about what I do. I know most of you like being more focused on your clients and your work than all this technical stuff (and that some of us in this field have a bit of a block about marketing ourselves). I've been creating websites for over a decade (long before I became a therapist), and I built my own private practice from scratch using web marketing. I actually enjoy the marketing aspect of the business now. And since starting YourGoogleGuy in 2006, I've helped over 300 fellow therapists with their websites and getting traffic to them.

When I consulted with Peter Hannah for the first time in May, I had
been in private practice for six months. I had built my practice to
between 6 to 9 clients a week.
